FEBRUARY WORKSHOP

Photo Feb 13, 2 57 54 PMPhoto Feb 13, 2 58 05 PM The day before Valentine’s Day, a number of our club members got together at the Bay Shore Library to learn how to make crepe paper roses.  Barbara Keller provided everyone with cut crepe paper petals and leaves, patterns, and stem wire, then demonstrated the techniques to make these beautiful flowers.  The Hospitality Committee provided tea, coffee and pastry to sustain us for the afternoon and, overall, there was lots of good-time chatter and laughter while we glued and shaped our roses.  Barbara, Tina and Jane delivered the flowers in white vases to Momentum at South Bay Rehab & Nursing in East Islip as a Valentine gift for the residents.  Thanks to everyone who came to the workshop and thanks to Barbara for her creative ideas!
